ADJ has recently launched two new battery powered UV infused pars. The Mega Go Par64 and Mega QPLUS combine colour mixing and portability. These additions portable, compact, and can run without the need for mains power they are both new to the Mega go Series and are perfect for mobile DJs and production companies, these pars enable a quick set-up time and offer a new level of creative freedom.

The new Mega Go Par64 Plus packs in 0.07W LEDs (split across 56 Red, 60 Green and 56 Blue), which allows the fixture to generate bright primary colour washes as well as offer full RGB (red, green and blue) mixing to create a huge palette of colours and shades. This is then enhanced by the inclusion, at the centre of the 10mm LEDs, of a single high-power 3W UV LED which allows for black-light effects.

The Mega Go Par64 Plus’s compressed and lightweight unit has a rechargeable lithium battery that allows 4.5 hours of continual light output. This means that users can enjoy the versatility of being able to utilise colour washes anywhere they want regardless of the availability of power sockets. After the show only four hours of charge is all that is required to bring the battery up to full capacity.

The new Mega QPLUS Go has five 4-Watt 4-in-1 RGB+UV LEDs. This fixture can also be used as a UV light source to create glowing effects when it hits a white surface or florescent clothing. Generating rich colour washes to produce bright purples and pinks is also possible thanks to the use of its integrated LED light sources.

Also equipped with a rechargeable battery, the Mega QPlus Go means that users take their effects literally anywhere on a stag, or within a venue, and the internal battery is capable of powering the light for 5.5 hours on full output or using the energy saving mode. Again only four hours of connection to the mains power is needed to recharge this battery.

Both units are fitted with IEC power input and output sockets that can be used to daisy chain together multiple fixtures. The power input – alongside the XLR DMX input socket – is located on one side of the casing, while the power and DMX output sockets are positioned on the other side.

These lights also have a “sit-flat” design allowing them to sit directly on the ground or inside a truss thanks to the rubber feet on the back panels and side positioning of the power, DMX and output sockets. Each unit is also fitted with an adjustable scissor yoke, which can be used for mounting to a truss or lighting stand.

The wireless capability of the Mega Go Pars allows these fixtures a variety of new possibilities for lighting providers, and they can be used for backlighting, up-lighting and can be mounted on a stand and positioned in places where powered lighting can’t reach.  

The Mega Go Par64 has a 30 degree beam angle, 5 modes of operation including DMX, sound active and master/slave mode. In comparison the Mega QPlus Go has a 40 degree beam angle but both units are lightweight, compact and easy to transport and store.

Both units offer a range of control options and can be used in a full DMX controlled light display. With an on-board 4 digit LED display screen it means these fixtures allow selection of internal presets and programs. 64 preset colour macros and a RGB+UV dimmer mode provides users with the choice of any colour without the need for additional control equipment.

These lights are pre-programmed with a wide variety of animated colour changing patterns and 16 colour change and colour fade programs that offer fast switches between different colours, ideal for illuminating a dance floor or providing a subtle backdrop. All of these programs can be set to run at any speed alongside the sound active mode which allows users to change colours in time to the beat of their music.  

The fixtures are compatible with ADJ’s UC IR wireless remote and can be used with ADJ’s new Airstream IR app, which allows users to select patterns and colours as well as dimming and strobing directly from an iPhone or iPad.

The new ADJ Mega Go Par64 and Mega QPLUS Go both offer fantastic features giving lighting providers freedom to experiment and enhances any party or event by introducing bright colours and excitement.
