  5. Introducing The Equinox Fusion 100 Spot

    Gearoox present the Equinox Fusion 100 Spot.  This powerful and vibrant moving head offers a variety of advanced features including rotating GOBOs, motorised focus and a bright 80W White LED.

    A compact but feature packed fixture, the Fusion 100 Spot measures 330 x 198 x 146mm and weighs just 4.4kgs allowing users to easily transport it between gigs and venues.  It has a beam angle of 10 degrees and offers pan and tilt angles of 540-degrees and 210-degrees.

  6. An Interview With The Wondersmiths

    Here at Gearooz we recently directed and produced a advert featuring Indie music band The Wondersmiths. After recording we got the chance to sit down and film an exclusive interview with the members of the band and learn a little more about their history.

    Vocalist Chris, Drummer Olly and guitarist Dave originally formed the band at Dave’s wedding 7 years ago and over the years have developed their sound and recruited a new keyboard player Henry, who was introduced after responding to a local advert.

    Based in Luton and Brighton, the group is signed to London based record label, The Animal Farm. The band play across the UK and have recently appeared on BBC introducing alongside being featured on ITVs This Morning with their latest single “Stanley What’s The Plan?”

  7. Ed Sheeran's New Album Divide Hits One Million Sales In 16 Days

    Ed Sheeran has been dominating the Singles Chart this week with his newly released album Divide.  The singer, who released his first debut album back in 2011, has been number 1 for 10 weeks with his upbeat track ‘Shape Of You’.

    Sheeran’s Shape Of You has been No. 1 for ten weeks! In the past year alone the UK has seen Closer by the Chainsmokers also at No. 1 for nine weeks, 7 Years by Lukas Graham spent eight weeks at No. 1 and Drake’s One Dance and Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself all spent seven weeks on top.   8. DJs Can Now Make Money Through SoundCloud

    SoundCloud has recently announced that DJs and producers who upload mixes and remixes to the online streaming service will now be able to monetize them for the first time. SoundCloud is expanding its invite-only revenue-sharing program to include artists who create "recorded and live sets, remixes, and other user-generated content."

    The SoundCloud premier program was first launched in 2014 as a way for users to earn money off the work they upload to the platform. Users who uploaded content to the platform are able to share in the income made through advertising and its two subscription services. Both SoundCloud's competitors Apple Music and Spotify have similar models in place so it was only a matter of time before SoundCloud joined them.

  9. Numark Releases NS6II 4 Channel DJ Controller

    Numark has just announced the Numark NS6II, an updated version of its much-loved original NS6 controller which was launched back in 2011. The unexpected announcement aims to be price competitive within the DJ market.

    The NS6II features dual laptop use, two high resolution in-jog displays and touch-sensitive knobs for more expressive DJing. MPC performance pads gives users’ quick access to hot cues, loop functions, a sampler and a slicer. Each function doubles-up with sub functions, allowing DJs to experiment with the 16 velocity-sensitive pads.

    The NS6II also functions as a standalone mixer and each of the NS6II’s four channels is served by its own filter and effects knob, pushing out 24-bit quality sound and resulting in seamless DJ changeovers.
