It’s the final day of BPM|PRO and what an incredible three days it has been! This year’s BPM is looking fresh in its new home of the Genting arena. The new hall offers a fitting venue for a show focusing on all things DJ and lighting.

Once again BPM|PRO delivered fantastic DJ performances, great educational panel sessions and more new exhibitors and visitors. This show seems to go from strength to strength and it is the perfect platform for DJs, performers, technicians and producers to network in a safe and relaxed environment.

Among the key features raised over the past few days were some amazing stands displaying cutting edge technology, Pioneer, ADJ and Chauvet went above and beyond, offering customers the opportunity to get hands on and play with the latest and greatest technology. If lighting isn’t your thing, the PA demo room was the ideal place to hear the latest PA systems and offered the rare opportunity to put any sound system up against another, so you could truly decide which one was going to meet your requirements and give you your sound.

Our Gearooz truck attracted the crowds this year giving our visitors the chance to get interactive with their prospective purchases.  Our customers got the chance to get exclusive deals and amazing offers.

More of the features attracting the crowds this year were improved and more-focused feature areas, including the extended PA Experience, and showcased exhibits from ADJ Chauvet.

Elsewhere during the event, the talks and workshops hosted in BPM’s Learning Domes helped DJs and producers improve and practice their skills through the educational programme.

In the afternoon Pro Mobile magazine editor Eddie Short and a panel of leading wedding hosts discussed the elements of hosting including how to become connected to the guests at their functions, and ensure there is a packed dance floor in the evening. Making the move to wedding host is a daunting one but Eddie and his team were prepared for any questions, and shared masses of information from preparation to performance, it was all about how you can transform from DJ to host.

Both shows certainly presented good opportunities to get hands-on with the products and talk through some of the finer details with the manufacturers, and of course meet up with customers old and new.

The best mobile DJs are taking the steps to up their game by borrowing techniques from club DJs. The ‘lessons from the clubland’ panel sessions for mobile DJs was the perfect learning session where the ex-ministry of sound DJ Steve Caneuto shared several simple, easy -to-learn  secrets from the world of DJing and tips that can make any DJ instantly improve their mixing style and DJ performance.

This year has been an amazing show; it was a pleasure to meet our customers face to face rather than over the phone or email. Marked events pulled out all the stops to ensure the show was a huge success!

Roll on BPM|PRO 2017!
