Hundreds of DJs from across America and the rest of the world came together in Las Vegas for the 20th annual Mobile Beat DJ show, which took place across a four day period. Mobile Beat is the largest mobile DJ event in the world and offers its visitors a huge programme selection of educational content, equipment exhibit areas and networking parties.
The 2016 Mobile Beat DJ Show took place from Monday 14th to Thursday 17th March at the recently renovated Tropicana Hotel, home to many of the earlier Mobile Beat DJ Shows. The hotel is situated in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip, ensuring visitors experience the real Las Vegas and all its action.
This years 20th anniversary edition saw producer Michael Buonaccorso and Mobile Beat publisher Ryan Burger pull out all the stops. The 2016 show featured a fantastic line-up, attracting plenty of new guests, enticing previous visitors who had been absent in recent years and held the show's current successful following.
In order to acknowledge the 20th anniversary milestone, the conference had a new host every day, all of whom had hosted at least one show in previous years. Last years 2015 host, Bill Hermann, alongside Jason A Jones, were joined by veteran hosts John Rozz, Michael Buonaccorso and James 'Lucky' Johnson. Additional new show speakers included Randy Bartlett, Jim Cerone, Rob Peters, Joe Bunn and Tom Haibeck, plus many more.
At the forefront of this years extensive line-up of speakers was Jon Taffer, an 'out of industry' presenter from US TV series Bar Rescue. Despite not being a DJ, Jon's experience in the hospitality industry enabled him to speak with authority and proved very informative, providing his large audience with inspiration and practical ideas.
The expo floor, which opened Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, provided visitors with a vast array of new sound and lighting gear, available to demo and purchase. Established brands such as ADJ, Bose, Chauvet DJ, DJ Event Planner, Peavy and Pioneer DJ, were joined by many smaller niche companies, in addition to new brands, all offering every imaginable product and service suitable for the mobile DJ.
However, Mobile Beat isn't all about education and equipment, it's also an excellent opportunity to network and spend time with fellow DJs from around the world. Events for the show take place throughout the day and this years evening events included a Welcome Pool Party and a Party Rockin' night with Red Foo or LMFAO.
