Taking place from Sunday 11th to Tuesday 13th, this year’s BPM|PRO celebrated its 10th anniversary in the new venue of the Genting Arena, NEC. The event was split into two sections and boasted a solid two days of visitors with a third day focusing on the trade visitors.

The positive reaction from visitors and exhibitors was warmly welcomed and it seems the social space for DJ & Studio, a full-height arena for Professional Lighting and Special Effects, individual rooms for sound demonstrations and the move from a traditional exhibition space into this new venue has proved a big success.

Olly Slator from retailer Gearooz said: “Wow what a change, this year’s BPM|PRO looked fantastic in its new home of the Genting arena. The arena is a fitting venue and this year has been an amazing show. It was a pleasure to meet new and existing customers and showcase our exclusive exhibition truck.  This year has definitely set the standards of the show for years to come as it grows bigger and better. Roll on BPM|PRO 2017!”

The event saw a mass of DJs, music producers, lighting designers and  venue owners that were there to provide visitors with knowledge and show them glimpses of new products alongside networking and creating new business relationships – the core values of BPM|PRO.

Mark Walsh, Marked Events Director and co-founder of BPM | PRO said: “We have made a lot of changes this year, and they appear to have all paid off! A change of days has not affected our visitor numbers, but has allowed us to build on creating a strong trade visitor demographic in the up and coming years. The new venue has been the absolute right choice for our industry, not only is the space fresh and exciting it is also surrounded by plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants which allows the show atmosphere to continue on through the evenings. I am extremely thankful to all those exhibitors who have supported the show over the past ten years and especially to those who took a chance on us again this year. Myself and my team are already excitedly working on the 2017 event, where we will build on the positives from this year and listen to feedback, from both visitors and exhibitors, to create an even bigger and better BPM | PRO for 2017!”

Taking centre stage in the DJ & Studio hall, Pioneer DJ and Pioneer Professional treated the crowds to brand new products alongside old favourites. Alongside Pioneer, the Chauvet arena proved to be a highly popular choice as it played host to the DMC UK finals and a 16-piece orchestra from Symphonica and Mr Switch.

CHAUVET DJ also showcased new lights at the show: the Freedom Stick, the EVE E-50 and the FXPar9.

Michael Brooksbank from CHAUVET Europe said: “BPM | PRO is the first trade show date in our diaries at CHAUVET Europe as we have the greatest opportunity to really present our products in the best possible light! This year the show was only further enhanced with the new layout and a significant increase in the number and quality of visitors. As for the CHAUVET Arena, well … anyone who didn’t see it this year had better get tickets for next year because it only gets better with age and experience!”

BPM | PRO will return to the Genting Arena, NEC, in 2017, with dates not yet confirmed. Tickets to be available in Spring 2017.
